Welcome!
Community Evangelical Free Church consists of people just like you!   People, who have families, go to work, attend school, have dreams, experience disappointments, and also have a desire to know God better through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Like you, we have also seen that the events and problems of the world around us can create pressure and stress that make us struggle to find real answers.  Are there good answers to life’s hard questions?   Can we experience peace in the midst of the storms of life?   Is there encouragement and strength to heal a marriage, to raise a family?  Is there a place that is free from fear?

The Bible still speaks to the issues of life in the twenty-first century.  Because it is God’s Word, it’s as relevant today as it was the day it was written.  The God of the Bible can answer those questions of life, provide guidance for today’s journey, give peace in the storm, and hope for the future.

We invite you come and join us as we learn more about life in Jesus Christ!

A suburb of New York City, the town of River Vale is located in the northeastern portion of Bergen County, NJ.  Because the town is mostly residential, you can't help but notice the "neighborhood" feeling you get while travelling through it.  It is a small, quiet community with two main roads: Rivervale Road and Westwood Avenue.  Our church is on the corner of Rivervale Road and New Street, right next door to the River Vale DPW, Fire and Police Departments.

No matter where you are on your journey with God, whether it's just starting to get to know Him or if you're well down the road, there are many places that you can fit into at Community Evangelical Free Church.  For the children, we have programs such as children's and junior church, AWANA (ages 3 - grade six), and youth group (grades 7-12).  For women, there are Bible study groups and a Women's Ministries program.  The men have the Men of Iron Bible study and a monthly Men's breakfast.  There are also music ministries and small groups that you can get involved in.
About Us
About Us
It is important to recognize that today's society sends contradictory messages to both young and old alike, often blurring the line between right and wrong, truth and lies.  We believe that the ageless truths contained within the Bible are as relevant today as they were in the days they were written in.  Jesus Christ came to earth and modeled for humanity the way we ought to live and then gave His life to bring us back to God.  As the risen Savior, His message of love is not limited to members of one race, socioeconomic status, age or gender.  We, as a church, endeavor to know Jesus better, walk with Him daily and introduce Him to others.  To do less would be a discredit to His name that we bear and would deny the new life He has given.
